Background
This article provides information about the patch for SENS motion.
A SENS motion sensor is attached to the patient's thigh via a medical grade patch. The patch is compact, waterproof, and flexible.
For assembly and poisitioning of the sensor-patch, see this article.
Which patch is best for me?
SENS offers two types of patches suitable for different groups of patients. Both patches are medically approved and waterproof.
Note that the type of patch does not affect the objective measurements provided by the sensor. The purpose of the patch is solely to attach the sensor to the thigh.
Left: Low activity patch, type B. Right: High activity patch, type C.
Low activity patch
The first type of patch (Art. No. 136-100-B) is seen on the left in the picture above. It has a transparent edge and forms a waterproof membrane against the skin while being breathable. This type is recommended for users who are frequently in contact with water, like swimmers. This patch is best suited for seniors due to their skin. They also sweat less than children and younger people.
This patch costs 3,9 EUR / 29 DKK per piece.
High activity patch
The first type of patch (Art. No. 136-100-C) is seen on the right in the picture above. It has a white border (non-woven), which means that the patch is more breathable than the low activity patch. It is therefore good for children and younger people due to their age and higher activity levels with training and play.
This patch costs 4,9 EUR / 35 DKK per piece.
